Custom orders / Devil Engineering and Design
The part you have in mind.
The detail to make it work.
For the build that has moved beyond the parts catalogue. Custom-designed, manufactured and supplied components, developed around the engine, the car and what you want it to do.

Inside the project / PAPIK
Four throttles.
A whole system to consider.
PAPIK is our modular induction project for the Mazda MX-5 NA/NB. The assembly renders show the intake, throttle components and the connections around them. It is the sort of project where the small interfaces matter as much as the headline component.
Our development archive follows the idea from the assembly model to test fitting on the car. That is how we want to talk about your custom order: the complete installation, the constraints and the details that need to work together.
From the development workspace
The tools behind the parts.
Our project work includes mechanical design tools and control-software analysis. These screenshots show the working interfaces, with technical details and product identifiers obscured.

Designed as an assembly
Every component has a job.

Exploded views make the design review concrete: interfaces, fasteners, service access and the order in which the parts go together.
Build around your application.
Pistons, rods & cranks
Bore, stroke, compression, pin dimensions and clearances need to be considered together. Tell us the engine, intended use and the components already chosen.
Heads & valvetrain
Discuss ports, chamber geometry, valve sizes, installed heights and cam requirements as a complete combination.
Composites & one-off parts
Carbon fibre, glass fibre, ducts, covers and brackets. Start with the fit, finish and environment, then choose an appropriate material and manufacturing route.
From our manuals
The design needs to reach the workshop.
This assembly illustration comes from our 310mm two-piece rear brake kit manual. Clear exploded views and installation documentation turn a collection of parts into something that can be understood, fitted and maintained.
For custom work, we agree the required drawings, material records, inspection and supporting documents as part of the scope.

Bring us the starting point.
The vehicle and engine, your objective, photographs, existing parts, target date and budget currency. We can then discuss design, prototype work, specialist manufacture or supply against an agreed specification.
